Fiber Arts

I started the Fiber Arts things at the kids school last week-  we did tie-dyeing.  It was a good time, but I was amazed at how fast things went.  I brought extra just in case and we needed all of it to keep the kids busy.

The tie-dyeing was a bit of a mess, one kids kept trying to squirt everyone with the dye, but I caught him in time.  I wonder how all of their shirts came out.

This week is Kool-Aid dyeing and making ghosts from that Lion Brand pattern they have on their website.  I made one yesterday and it come out pretty cute.

I think next week we will try crocheting, well maybe?

Read your blog. Wish I could be a short-winded as you are.

At any rate you might have guessed from my user name that I too enjoy knitting, but I also like to crochet, and make jewelry. I'm in the process of building a spinning wheel. With any luck the darn thing will work.

As for Shadow the Hedgehog. There's a cold pad dying tutorial online, more a walkthrough really, google for cold pad dying and sooner or later you'll click on it. It shows how to dye yarn so that it makes black and white pictures and then you can color them with dyes like a coloring book once knit up :). That could be a solution.
